Red one is almost Redskin maroon...so not too bad. The poo poo brown is s stinker...

I never understood why phones don't come in many colors. They are just plastic.......why not have a dozen colors?

Been wondering that myself. Not just phones, but for everything like cars, laptops, clothes, etc. Colors played a big role when I buy, and there has been a few occasions when I did not buy an item because I did not like the colors.

And btw, I don't know if its just me, but it seems like most things out there are always only available in the crappiest colors only.

Multiple colors adds to the cost and in the very volatile world of cell phone, making a phone a color that doesn't sell well is millions in lost revenue and manufacturing costs. Black and white appease the most broadest consumer as most people will go for one or the other, it's a safe marketing bet

That being said, seeings I'm a fan of red wine, the red one actually looks pretty nice to me but why choose brown over black is just utterly stupid of Samsung

Exactly. If the color was only a skin that could be popped on and off easily (the back is, not the front) then you'd see a bigger choice. They could cheaply stock spare skins. But most stores are not going to stock a lot of colors when it's not easily and cheaply changed.

I really liked the dark red one. When they were announced in November I was so torn between getting one now or waiting. I couldn't wait.
I got white simply because every phone I ever had was either black or grey (silver). I like the look of the white with with different color cases.

Both colors look hot. Samsung is one of the few putting out multiple colored phones yet people still find stuff to complain about.

To all the folks wanting Samsung to provide a lot of color choices: here's the deal, folks--it is not smart for a mfgr to provide numerous SKU's for essentially the same item, as stocking enough of the most popular color is a crapshoot. it's not cost-effective: they may run out of the color people want, at any particular location and there often isn't ROOM or money for stores to keep a zillion colors of ONE product on hand. Conversely, they may sit on tons of expensive inventory of colors that just don't sell. It's really a non-starter to have more than two SKU's in most cases. Even that is a PITA for mfgrs and retailers alike.

I have the white only because it was the only color in the store. Hoping they get colors in before 30 days are up!
