Help New Samsung Galaxy S2 - Mac issues

Hi, I'm really sorry if this is the wrong place to post, i'm new!

I just bought a samsung galaxy s2, tried connecting it to my macbook pro, and nothing comes up.

The phone doesn't even register as hardware or an external device.

A step by step guide to solve this problem would be excellent, I know they can connect to macs but everything i've read so far doesn;t seem to actually have this issue. HELP!

The SGS2 is not natively recognized by a Mac. Download the latest Kies (beta) version for Mac on the Samsung web site. Install it on your Mac. Connect your SGS2 and you should be good to go.
Also, something you may want to attempt is using the Kies Air app from you phone: it will give you a 'web address' to enter on your browser and connect to your Mac wirelessly over wifi. Works flawlessly for me.
