New SanDisk 128 GB microSD

Ive never filled up a 16gb phone, this Note 3 is 32. Not sure that I would ever need 128gb, other than to say "look at me, ive got 128gb storage space on my phone". The SSD drive in my laptop has less storage space.

i hear you. Considering how much memory the Note has new, I considered not buying a micro SD card. But i did anyway the day i bought the Note 3. :smokingsomb::smokingsomb::smokingsomb:

Now look at me, using my phone as the personal assistant it was meant to me: :D:D:D

Using my files app, I have:
42GB free of a total of 99GB
720MB of Images (photos)
17.5GB of videos (mostly hollywood & some indie)
21GB of music (some audio books too)
9MB of documents (computer file backups)
280MB downloaded apps

using All-In-One-Toolbox I see that my phones "info" is at:
CPU (usage): 3%
Unused Ram: 500MB, 20% of 2.4GB)
Unused ROM: 14GB, 53% of 32GB)
Unused SD Card: 28GB, 47% of 64GB)
88 Apps running

Oh yeah, I am using cloud storage also; Primarily via EverNote app & PC

Clearly there is no rush to order the 128GB. But next reasonable opportunity, I'm getting one. :smokingsomb:

They're very aware of Android, as seen in the press text from that Web link:

"An Enhanced SanDisk Memory Zone App-smarter Ways to organize, optimize, and Backup Android
Smartphones....
"

It fails to recognize USB hosting and the micro SD , or thumb drive, i have plugged in via dongle.

Uninstalling

Nice. i think i like that more than a dongle. $12 is cheap. :smokingsomb:
If memory serves i got the dongle I'm using for $1.52 off amazon.

For me, the function of USB hosting is to transfer files (off & on) phone. Thus the uselessness of Scan Disk's "Enhanced" Memory Zone App
Frankly, it doesnt look any different that the version i used on my old Hero or Evo phones (but i didnt really dive into beyond testing it for my functional needs)

With the super clunky Note3 <-> Mac interface I'm just wondering how I'm going to get my stuff from my almost full 64Gb Micro SD to the 128Gb Micro SD.
microSD to USB adaptor and your OTG cable?

Just to say by the way - as I think I forgot to - that that worked.

Nice, Simon! Glad that worked. Your posts about Mac compatibility have made me open up more about learning workarounds, as I have family members with Mac computers that run into the same snags as you.

I just recently sent my cousin a 64gb card and told him to try this, without knowing if it would work. Hopefully, he was able to swap out easily.

The only problem you may run into is flattening the standard battery partway through - depending how many files you have. This necessitates a pause to recharge or swap batteries.

Other than that it's smooth. A lot smoother than connecting to a Mac.

Thanks, Simon! I'll let him know.
