I have only had 3 smartphones since getting a cell phone 6 years ago. My first was the Blackberry Bold it was great for awhile but started having problems. Then when the Blackberry Torch came out I got it on day one and was really happy with it until about 2 months ago. It keeps messing up, the apps weren't working right, there was no memory for any thing. And 2 weeks ago I had finally had it dropping calls, freezing and just not working. I wanted to get a new phone but didn't want the iPhone as my husband has it. And I didn't like the keyboard (I'm a big texter) and the screen was really small as I'm blind. Lol not really it was just hard for me to see.
So my husband took me into our ATT store "just" to look at what phones they had to see if I could find one that I liked and wanted to maybe get. We were in the store for 30 mins, and in that time I played with two phones one was a windows phone which I had used before and still hate. And the other was the HTC Inspire. After going though some of the settings and texting on it, to see how it was to type on. I loved it!!! We told the ATT sale guy that I wanted that phone and with in 15 mins I was walking out with it.
I can't believe I didn't switch to an Andriod sooner, after having the phone a week now I still believe that I was using a Blackberry. They are so slow and outdated. I mean he'll they don't even take good pictures, I can go buy a 25 dollar camera that takes better pictures. What took me 5 mintues to do on my Blackberry takes me seconds now. The fact that I don't have to pick and choose what apps I want to download cause I don't have room for them or they slow my phone down.
The only thing i can say that I miss from my blackberry is being able to set ring tones for text messages for different people, yahoo, twitter, and so on. There is probably an app or a widget for it that I just haven't found yet. But other than that I have nothing bad to say.
I am happy to have joined the Andriod family!!!!
