New to Android and need help

Lurker
I have been an ios user for years. One of the things that I liked about it the most was that all of my data and apps were always backed up every time I recharged my device.

However, ios devices are just to expensive for me anymore, and I like the freedom that Android offers, so I have switched over.

My major concern, is that I want some way to have my device backed up frequently, and by that I mean everything, apps, data, files, everything. I use my phone on the go all of the time, and am always adding data to it in one form or another. I feel very uneasy about this on the Android device because I'm afraid that if the device quits working, I am going to be out of luck and all of my important data will be gone.

Can someone recommend a way to do a complete backup on the Android? I have been searching, but just cant seem to find anything that is as comprehensive, easy, and thorough as what ios has.

Thanks

Depends on your device. Universally, for android you can sync most things with Gmail one way or the other, Samsung devices also allow you to back up some things to Samsung, in addition you can do a 'full' backup using Samsung kies.

Other than that, you may need individual apps.

Something like Quick Sync is handy for making sure Google is doing its job...

Looking for a very simple and small app to sync all your Google accounts?
With QuickSync you can easily sync all your Google accounts with just a single click! The app looks for your accounts and syncs your Contacts, Calender data and your Gmail account! That's it, nothing more! There is no customization, no Widget and no GUI available.

i moved the discussion to the android lounge, since that is what we are discussing

you can also use mybackup pro as well. the other way is to root your phone, install a custom recovery and then you can make a nandroid backup.
