I can have good battery life and watching a movie, playing a game (screen on max brightness as it's been very sunny lately outdoors) or just using it for non-Internet/data tasks will all kill the battery very quickly.
Juice Defender can keep the phone going ages in standby, which is great, but clearly the phone saps loads of power being used. I hope new firmware can fix this. At the moment, the meter gives you the impression you'll be fine on 60-70% and then within no time at all it's low battery (although, maybe it goes to the warnings a little too quick - as I'm yet to actually kill it completely. But would you go out with it flashing red?)
And to clarify for those who don't yet own a mini or mini pro, ONLY THE MINI PRO has a removable battery. The X10 mini has it integrated and can't be changed (easily at least) by the end-user. The pro has a normal battery like many other SE handsets - BST38 (930mAh).
