Whats up guys!! Just wanted to say hey. I have been on here for about a week now as part of my research for a new phone. Most recently I had a BB Torch (which I thought was an awesome phone) but I took delivery of my new HTC Vivid today. I now shake my head in disbelief that I didnt venture on over sooner. What an awesome phone. After researching for the past week, reading countless reviews, and watching numerous videos on Youtube, I decided on the Vivid. It came down between this one, and the Motorola Atrix 2. I chose this one because it was in stock, and after watching videos, I thought HTC's UI was better. Ordered it Fri., and got it today. Came out of the box with ICS, and the newest version of Sense.

Just one question, I have my Yahoo email setup, but the emails dont automatically download, I have tried figuring it out, but cant seem to change it. Assuming theres a way to change it.

Look forward to learning alot about this phone, and this system.

Have you enabled auto-sync for your Google account in Settings? If you select it from the list, you can pick which things to sync (email, calendar, etc).

Congrats on getting the Vivid. You're gonna love it. I'm coming from an iPhone 3GS and am so glad I got it rather than another iPhone. ;-)

are you using the Yahoo app, or the Mail Client?

Most people around here know that I'm an HTC guy through and through. Motorola irritatates me...especially MotoBlur. You won't miss that at all. Sense is a pretty sweet UI, and with the release of ICS...development is at an all time high for our device. Most of the development is happening now off of XDA, due to a series of implosions that chased the two Vivid devs away. there are still devs on that specialize in the raider and velocity(Both Holiday phones like the vivid), and some really good guys who work with mods and kernels. All in all, you picked a pretty great time to jump on board...don't think you'll be disappointed!

Yeah Im glad I went with the Vivid as well. Just subtle differences helped my decision. Like, the panels not rotating 360* like the Vivid does, and the overall UI experience just seemed better. Already having ICS installed was the icing on the cake.
