New to Android

Hi, I'm new. New to Android as well. Just got an Avail and hate all the Bloat and lack of userability. Root will be my first priority-as soon as I find a way to do it.
Windows based (XP) and somewhat versed in computer talk. Hoping to learn as much as possible from the threads.
