Hello all, Im new to Android,coming from Blackberry world. I cant believe it took me this long to make the switch. I am the proud owner of a Galaxy S3. My question is this; Blackberry has "crackberry" a place to download all things Blackberry. Does Android have a similar web site?

If you're based in the US then there's also the Amazon App Store. Amazon have an ongoing promotion called 'Free App Of The Day' where they pick on app from the store and make it totally free for the day.

Quality varies but I've got quite a few decent apps from there.
 
GetJar is one other option for downloading apps. The play store is the best option for getting apps though, assuming you are not looking for pirated apps
 
The Google Play Store. It's logo is a white bag with a 'play sign' on it, with a couple of different colours. You can downloads apps, games etc. But if you're looking for free (pirated) apps, 4shared.com is the best. It has 1000s of .apk files. Also the Play Store is an app, that is also accessable online via a website.

Im looking for ringtones etc. I cant find basic ringtones, i need something kinda professional.
 
Besides the ringtones included on the phone, there's ringtone apps galore in the Play Store. Or you can use any mp3 for a ringtone.

Download Zedge from the market. Its a library of ringtones, wallpapers, etc that you can download. And they're legit. They've been providing me with ringtones, wallpapers and whatnot for years.

i +1 zedge, ive been using it ever since i got android. i usually find what im looking for. they have quite a selection of great skyrim ringtones haha. the look on ppls faces when my phone goes " FOOS RO DAAA" lol

it even lets preview the ringtones before downloading

You can use any MP3 sound file as a ring tone. Then get an app called RingDroid to convert that MP3 sound file to a ring tone. I'm sure you can find sounds on the internet. I actually use a song I have as a ring tone.
