I just picked up the Note 3 the day before yesterday. I come from the Iphone previously. I am gradually starting to get used to the device. However, there was one major problem I started to noticed today: BATTERY LIFE!
The phone seems to drain at a fast rate. What is weird is it seems to be draining faster then when I first got it a few days ago. This could be a mistake, because I wasn't using the phone that much yesterday and the day before, but I definitely seem to feel it is draining faster then when I first picked it up. I think part of this is due to the fact that I installed a good number of additional apps since I got the phone. However, I am uncertsain about this. I haven't really been using the new apps much. I did add a widget or two. I looked into this matter a little for causes like the ones I mentioned. The battery seems to do down by quite a bit, even when it is idle. Nothing that seems too awkward though. Let me give you my battery stats (one thing I learned how to do) and see what you guys think:
Battery:
38% - Not charging
9h 27m 32s - on battery
Screen - 24%
Google Services - 17% (This seems to be unusually high. Is there a way to disable some of these services? What will it affect)
Modern Combat 4 - 14%
Android OS - 11%
Android System - 8%
Angry Birds: Star Wars II - 7%
Cell standby - 6%
Device idle - 4%
Zombie Gunship - 3%
What is weird is it seems to be draining faster as the day goes on. Part of this I am sure is because I was using it more as the day went on, but it seemed to drain faster as it was idle too.
What do you guys think about this? What can be done? I am wondering why Google Services so high? Any tips for a new user for power conservation. OH and why is the device using power so much more rapidly now then two days ago. I am really enjoying my new phone thus far. However, this power consumption issue is really bugging me.
