Help New to note 2. Noticed small problem with screen

Hello everyone,
Just got the galaxy note 2. I really like the phone but the other day I noticed something about the screen and I'm wondering if anybody else noticed it too. When the screen is white, I looked at the screen on a slight angle and noticed a small pink line about an inch or so next to the back button. I think it may be the magnet that holds the stylus in place. Before I took the phone back I wanted to see if anyone else is having the same discoloration. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just checked mine and I dont see any discoloration ner the back-button in normal light (and havn't noticed one at night either) I dont *think* there's a magnet that holds the stylus in place, I think it's a rubber bung (though dont quote me on that, not taken it appart or anything, just going on the fact that the stylue has no 'pull' when it's almost in place like it would with a magnet) However, the stylus *is* an active stylus, so it could be defective and activating while in the silo, you might try removing it and seeing if the line is still there, and likewise going into the settings and dissabling the S-Pen, see if that changes it.

The line runs parallel to the stylus when the stylus is inserted and is the same length as the metalic end of the stylus. I called samsung and they confirmed that a magnet holds the stylus in place. Load a white document, like a note or something and tilt the screen to view on an angle and let me know what u see. I appreciate anyone taking the time to help me out.

Sorry for the misinformation, like I said it was just a guess >.<

Tried it with both the stylus fully in (inactive) and when I pulled it out just enough to activate it, still no pink line. Even tried setting brightness to max and setting the stylus atop the screen.

Hate to say it, but it looks to me like you have a defective unit. :(

EDIT:
you might also try going to a VZW/Sprint store and looking at their display model to see if it exhibits the same behavior, it's possible that we're getting the same thing and just not seeing it for some reason.

Yeah, tried it again a few ways and I'm seeing nothing. The only thing I noticed is when I tilt the phone down (quite a bit), there is a pink tinge, but other than that, nothing.

Not convinced that a magnet holds the s pen in place, regardless of what Samsung says.
