Root new to rooting, now what?

I was able to root my m+ but have not been able to do some of the things I had hoped to do. The first is adding ICS but from what I understand nobody has adapted it to this phone. I really would like to use my phone as a wifi hotspot but I am having trouble finding a app to do this. I would also like to overclock the processor, i tried a few apps but none came close to what people claim is possible for the m+

welcome. for the overclocking, it you haven't already downloaded SetCPU, you should get that. So far the only overclockable kernel was created by PlayfulGod but it breaks WiFi and a fix hasn't been released yet. the kernel will allow you to overclock to 1.5 Ghz. for wifi tether I recommend Barnacle. There is no port for anything above 2.3.6 but just install Holo Launcher for the ICS feel. Hope this helps a bit. Have installed a recovery to make a backup before you start messing with things?

I believe it's also been determined that this phone can't wifi tether. There were some things in other threads talking about that. It does have something to do with the kernel on this phone.
 
Awesome, I am now the hero with my girlfriend, she uses a 4s on at&t that doesn't have unlimited data like my metropcs service. Now she can bum off mine.

I really don't care about ics feel, I want to use apps like smart glass that are only supported by ics.

I want to get as much out of this phone as I can since my next phone will be a galaxy s3 when I can finally afford it. Hopefully metropcs will run a sale on them when they realize how hard it is to sell a $500 phone,

So I take it you were able to tether then?
