Help New to SGR... have questions

just got my SGR today and I'm still figuring things out with my new phone. A LOT better than my LG Optimus V.

However, I'm still struggling with a couple of annoying things that I hope I can find an app or workaround:

1) when my screen times out, I'm constantly having to use the power button to get back in. Is there an app or workaround to avoid this annoyance?

2) GO SMS Pro is taking FOREVER to download & install...what's the holdup?

3) LED lights, red and blue ones~ what do they indicate? I thought the LED light was to let me know I have a message, but it's not lighting up. This is the reason WHY I bought this phone as I'm hearing impaired and need to see that light on. How do I make this work?

4) Front facing camera~ It flips the picture! Is that normal? Also, will this work with talking with a deaf friend if I have an app?

sorry for so many questions, but I'm such a noob with this phone!

1. Downloading Widget Locker should allow you to reprogram the volume keys to turn the screen on when locked.

2. Might be a problem with your network/wifi. I'd try letting it sit then trying again later.

3. The lights only flash when the screen if off, blue is for notifications and red is for charging.

4. Completely normal, most front cameras do that. You could reverse it by flipping the photo along the y axis with some sort of editing software.
