Help New to tablets

I was wondering I just purchased this tablet samsung galaxy tab 2 10.1 less than a week ago . This is my first tablet and to me it feels like a beefed up version of galaxy s3. Anyways I go about device and it tells my model is GT-P5113 with OS system 4.1.1 . Am I current on all the updates? I have checked for updates . It says I am current. After reading things on this forum and around the internet I wonder if I really am. Any other tips or tricks would be apperciated. Also whil im typing, the background is going nutts . Like I cant see the box im typing in. It keepz throwing back the top of the page but allows me to keep typing. It is not isolated to this forum. It also does it on a gaming forum I visit frequently. Any ideas why?

Perhaps check the Tab 2 forum for latest version info or google? This forum is specific to the first Tab 10.1 model.

4.1.1 is the latest version that is widely available in the USA and most of the UK.
