Root New to the DINC World!

Afteraffekt

Android Enthusiast
Hey everybody, I recently upgraded from another Android phone to the Dinc, and am very pleased with my decision. Just looking to learn more, and possibly end up developing on this platform too (Graphics, don't ask for coding haha)

My first question is, a few weeks ago I saw a picture of a android desktop with sense, and the launcher looked like brushed metal, instead of the typical black sense dock (Rosey I think its called?) but it was definitely still the Sense dock, just looked different, well I want it! Any ideas what it was?

Second, are there any AOSP built roms with sense integration? Like hybrid roms, that include the dialer, contacts, keyboard, and dock?

Third, I am running CM7 Nightly 32 with incrediKernel, and have tried Miui, what else should I check out?

Question - Im still on the stock radio - should I get the Evo Radio? Also, when Im not using 3g or 1x or in a call I have 4-5 bars, but the moment i use data or get a call i have 1-2 bars - whats with this? Will the radio address this?

There is no aosp with sense but you can get sense features using "launcher pro" and "dialer one".

You'll have to look around xda for rosie themes.

Lastly ignore the signal bars, they do not accurately reflect your signal strength.

Ive seen a few ROms that were AOSP(like) that were really the sense rom with some of the framework redone..hmmm

AOSP-like? Either it's compiled from the source code the Google source code (hence AOSP), or ported from a binary (or compiled an OEM's source).

Aosp like meaning they took A sense rom, and took out as much sense as they could - and put aosp apps where they could

Welcome to the INC forum. Just got her myself and I'm running the same setup you are but my radio is 2.15.00.11.19 with Hboot at. 92. You help me, btw, in the Ally forums, mostly in IRC during the eclair to froyo days. Thanks a lot; much appreciation.

No problem man, It try to help. I have ported (for the most part my Theme to CM7 - and trying to find a way to do it so I can release to the market - but i cant find any documentation on the matter sadly.
