Root New To This & Having BIG Problems...

I have a program that auto delete's cache every morning at 8am. It's called "Cache Clear". And I kinda got what you were getting at when you posted the pic, lol.
 
cool now we gotta figure out what app that is running is causing your phone to lag. do u have any anti-virus app on your phone alot of people are going to disagree with me but i dont believe in av for our phones it runs in the background and takes alot of process away. also live wall papers is a no no also takes process away.
 
I have a non-live background, but yes I have "Lookout" anti-virus running in the background. I've NEVER had an issue with it before. I only use it because I've seen that T-mobile puts it on their phones stock.
 
like n4sty said, the SD card has nothing to do with performance. flash a rom to remove your bloat ware and save more memory. now if you don't want to start all over your should download Titanium Backup and backup both all user apps+system data. that way after you flash your rom just download TB again and restore your backup. your phone should then be exactly as it was. make sure your destination folder for TB is on your External SD. for performance you can check out Ldrifta's #2 rom or you can get one of the other roms and overclock your phone to open up your apps a little faster. currently I'm using Plauged rom
 
I tried Plague once before, when I didn't understand anything about ROMS. I found out the hard way that when you flash a ROM, you basicly start from scratch again, lol. Luckily I had saved a back up on CWM and re-uploaded it. But I found that my b/u was the MAJOR reason for most of my SD Card being so full. So I deleted the back up, forgetting that i could copy it to my computer before deleting it on the card. I later fixed that by doing so, now I have a b/u on the computer, and a completely separate SD card as well, lol!
 
yea titanium back up pro is a great app to have i would recommend it as a good tool to have to help you make your phone more efficient.
 
Had TBU in the past, I didn't understand it, luckily I wouldn't have to pay for it again to DL it, lol! However I honestly need to learn how it functions. I got rid of it because I have the ROM Toolbox, and it does all of the same things.
 
download it again, click your menu button then go to Batch>Backup all user apps+system data. so if you ever flash a new rom just restore that and you should have your phone like it was before, just in a new rom ;)
 
Okay, however, won't it save to my SD card? That will land me back in the same spot that I was in before with NO ability to do anything through my SD card. Advanced Task Manager tells me that I have 4GB Total memory on my SD card (Even though it is a 32GB card... again, go figure?!). I have used 2.89GB of that mem, and I have 1.11GB free at this moment. "Aplication Manager" (the one that came stock on the phone...) tells me the same thing. Astro tells me about the same, it states 4.09GB capacity. Used 2.96GB, and Free 1.14GB. A question that I have is this. When I uninstall programs does anything linger on the phone? or does ALL actual existence of the program leave from my phone? or do I have to go through the memory on Astro, find it and delete it manually?

the first memory u should see on the strorage section is your exteneral sd dont confuse it with your internal sd if you still only see internal and not external that means your external sd was never formatted to work with your phone and if thats the case you will have to copy all of the external sd card contents on your computer then format it with your phone then put all your stuff back unto your external card.
 
well u see how mine says sd card then below it says internal? you dont see that on yours? if not then wow i guess you do need a new card

Mine Looks something almost exactly like that, only mine states, that i have 29.67GB Available Space... however my other programs inhibit my phone from doing downloading any new apps after i reach the supposed "4GB" cap off... it sucks...

what launcher are you using some launchers are just process hoggers for example tsf and spb are process eating launchers that do more bad to your phone than good.

spb actually gave me almost as good battery life as launcher pro xD
It's really not that bad, just a takes a good amount of ram and a few seconds to start up

Lol that wasnt my argument. battery life for me is the least of my worries with my 3000 mah extended battery.Just perfomance due to ram and cpu
 
I have a 3500 mah extended battery on mine. Bought it from Amazon along with a second one for the wife, also the 32GB SD I've been talking about all for like $46 after tax's and S&H, lol!
