Root New Update and Root

I have a rooted A100 running 3.21. There are two updates ready on is a 28mb update. Will these it kill my root? The only reason I have this rooted is so I can use my 32gb SD card for app storage.

Also what features does this update give? According to the box this tablet should have come with ICS, is 3.21 gen2 ICS

There are two updates one is to prepare the tablet for ICS and the second one is ICS. I just bought my A100 two days ago and just went through the process. And I think /I read somewhere you will lose root. Not 100% sure but pretty sure.
