Hi Guys,
I bought one of these gizmos from Curry's last night and I'm stuck already.
I didn't even get to the end of the "Setup" process. My problem is that my e-mail address has an underscore in it, for example, 267_af.
OK, with my normal keyboard on my Mac Mini I just press the Upper case key (NOT the CAPS-LOCK) and then the key to the right of "zero".
The bad news with the Note keyboard is that however whichway I get an underscore in place, the next character that I type is also underlined.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated
Cheers,
Steve

That seems weird I just tested with both keyboards and it seems fine, Are you just tapping to enter and not long pressing? It could be a glitch with the keyboard. Download a different keyboard from the market to see if it works (plenty of free)

Mmmm, it gets even weirder. In my example of 267_af, when I type the "a" it appears underlined. Same thing when I type the "f". But then when I get to a character that is NOT either a letter or a number, @ or . for instance, all of the wrongly underlined characters lost their underline.
At least I managed to get the Setup done.
Thanks for looking into it for me.

I've seen this happen once and didn't know what to do. I kept re-entering the name with underscores. Something told me to just continue and see what happens. When I got to the last letter, the underlined letters weren't underlind anymore.

This happened trying to login to Twitter.

Before you get to far into setting up the device and personalizing everything go to settings, application manager,(click all at top) scroll to samsung keyboard, clear data and cache. If that doesn't fix it, I would do a factory reset.

The reason it's underlining the letters is because of word suggestion. When you type a letter it underlines indicating it's working at suggesting a word for you to select or auto complete/fill. This function can always be disabled in the keyboard settings.
