i don't use any of the battery stretching apps but i've read a lot about juice defender, may or may not be useful.

you might want to try to understand why your batt is draining that fast. for instance, are you polling for email more frequently than necessary? downloading news feeds in the background that you're not even reading, etc?

if you are connected to 4g but are in a poor coverage area, that could explain it too. you can drop the phone down to 3g (cdma) only and save a lot of batt when your not actively using data. just a thought.

I agree with PhilD i do not use the app JuiceDefender my friend does on the Droid X he says its awesome. you could get a extended battery and have two batteries.

I used jd. It helps with battery, but it does so by turning off data when the screen is off. It turns data back on when you turn the screen on, but It takes 10-30 seconds. I would recommend turn off syncing(or reduce the frequency of sync). And like they said, news Widgets can really drain battery. Also FB syncing can drain battery.

I'd recommend extended battery and rooting(read the how to threads before attempting). Rooting has risks so make sure you know what your doing before trying.

Speaking from experience with Juice Defender on my Droid 2 Global, it did help to a certain extent, but the lagtime between turning your screen on and getting data to catch up was a downfall for me. I like being able to turn my screen on on my Nexus and instantly get to Google or something. Not a big deal for most, but it was for me. But if it doesn't matter to you, then go for it. I'd still recommend it.
