Help "New VM" in Notification Bar won't go away.

I got a phone call and the person left a VM. After I listened to the voicemail, I deleted it, but the notification bar continues to display the icon.

I've deleted all saved VM's, re-booted my phone, shut it down and started it back up, but that damn icon won't go away and it appears in the pull-down menu as well.

How do I resolve?

Thanks.

I tried everything. Those ding-a-lings at Metro Tech Support are worthless.

For some reason, under Apps, "Phone/Messaging Storage" was Disabled and there is no "Enable" option.

I finally had to to a factory reset because I kept getting a pop-up at start up saying "Unfortunately, Phone app stopped" (OK)
Clicking (OK) just brought the pop-up back.

I pulled the Battery and SIM, and that allowed me to boot in Airplane mode and access my Settings and after trying everything, I had to do a Factory Reset.

And even though I had Backup enabled, I still have to DL most of my Apps and reconfigure my phones configuration.

And even though I had everything backed up, I lost all my phone contacts.

Any idea how to retrieve those?

All my contacts are synced to my Googly account.

The almighty cloud has them.

You sure yours aren't?
