It's sounding to me like it can be an issue with the gmail account your phone is linked to since all google products on your phone are linked to whatever gmail you signed in under.

Try opening the youtube app and then click the phone's menu button and click on sign out then exit the app. Now click on menu button again then go to manage apps and scroll down to youtube app and clear data & clear cache. Reboot your phone, then open the youtube app and sign in with the same gmail that your phone is linked to. Hopefully this works, but I think the issue has to do with the gmail account (I could be wrong lol).

Thanks GT...My G mail account works fine and always has, but really just use it for calendar and contacts. I don't see how to link YouTube with my email account. I just downloaded and installed it. "There was a problem while playing; Touch to retry" is all I get :confused:.
Going to hold off on Samurai for now but want to try it soon.

if you can't see any video, that's a code issue. Like the issue they had with PG's cm10

Nah, if it was code none of the stock based roms would play video. The code hasn't been touched and can't become corrupt since it's already compiled into apks and components. Since CM10 was built from source code it might just be something missing in the code which is not the case with the stock based roms.

I think if he unbricks and then factory resets it might solve his issue.

he could have gotten a bad download, or he watched to much porn and broke his phone :p:rolleyes:

Have not been able to watch any video ever, period; and that includes the stock phone, GT's SPIRIT ROM and now KATANA.:thumbdown:
