New YouTube wide-screen problem

Hey guys, so the new YouTube with the update that allows users to swipe down to minimize the window and keep searching other videos works in portrait but not on landscape for me. Is anyone else experiencing this and if so do you know how to fix it?

It works just fine for me in both modes. However, you don't swipe down, you press the down arrow in the upper left corner. Once it is minimized, you swipe up to go back to full screen, or swipe left to dismiss the video.

When in Landscape, there are 2 diagonal arrows in the bottom right corner of the screen, press that and it will minimize the video.

Edit - Or, use the arrow in the top left that I totally didn't notice till now.

Thanks guys I've noticed both already, but I feel like I have swiped down before in landscape and it worked but maybe I was just imagining it
