How do I change my home screen appearance. Clock/weather widget? Different skins?etc..is there apps for this. Sorry for the newb ?'s
 
You can get a different clock/weather widget if you like. I have been using Beautiful Widgets and I really like it. It's in the Market, but it isn't free. You can change the widget appearance and other characteristics as well as different skins for it.
 
Oops, almost forgot about the ADW.Launcher which lets you customize and reskin home screens/app drawer as well as shortcuts. I didn't like it, but you might enjoy it for what you are describing.
