hey everyone. I have a metropcs lg optimus m690 on 2.2.1 still and after an hour of searching I need help. I need internet access for my laptop while i'm in the middle of a move and don't have internet at home yet. I browsed lots of threads but couldn't find a clear walk through. can anyone link me to a good thread or write up on this?? thanks!!

You will need to gain root access to your phone and then you can install wireless tethering apps from Market.

Beware that once you have wireless tethering set up and running, this phone will get very hot. I wouldn't recommend leaving it on for longer than 20 or 30 minutes at a time. The slow Metro 3G speeds don't help much either.
