Root NEWB needs help rooting his 2.2 evo

Hope I am posting in the right area. I am a total newb but I have heard of the advantages to rooting and they sounded like a must have. If anyone could help I am running 2.2 and am ready to learn. Please help!!! I want free wifi hotspot and get rid of this stupid htc sense crap!!

If your running 2.2 OTA, then you will have to wait until the devs figure out a way to root Froyo 2.2 OTA.

unfortunately you cant root right now.....

BUT


you can get free usb tehtering with pdanet without root

you can get rid of htc sense with launcher pro or adw launcher without root
