Newb Note2 questions

just got a Note 2 today.*I'm trying to turn off all of the sounds under Settings>System... those sounds being keytones, touch sounds, screen lock sound and haptic feedback... all of the boxes are unchecked, but the sounds / haptic feedback are still there... any ideas?

Also, all of my texts are going to my email acct... how do I shut this off? Thanks!!

Finally, is there a way to disable the home screen button from waking up the phone? I keep it in my pocket, and the phone wakes up... would prefer to just have the right side power button wake it up.

Welcome and congratulations with your new device.

Please check your keyboard settings (Settings, then Language and Input). For many keyboards, there is a separate setting for sound and haptic feedback. Press the little gear next to the keyboard you use, to configure it.

About the home key, far as I know there is no way to prevent it from turning on the phone.

I was looking for this but my phone doesn't have it--at least not where I can find it; not that I need it. Was looking to try to help out.
Those options only appear for Exchange accounts. They don't appear for GMail for example. Sorry I should have been more specific in my original response.

Thank you. I began to realize that while Googling and all results had something to do with exchange. Also, the OP didn't mention it being exchange but since he mentioned he just got the note, I assumed the setting was either in the email or gmail app.
