Help Newb w/ screen lock question

Hey all,

I have done some searching, but haven't found anything like what I'm wanting.

I am running 2.1.
Right now I have screen lock disabled so I just press the side button after it times out. Is it possible to disable the power/lock button so I can just tap the screen to get it going after it times out??

It seems easier than pressing the side button while the phone is sitting on my desk all day.

well to be honest what you can do is download an app called widgetlocker... you can customize it to where u can toch the back key for it to turn on to bad we don have trackballs or pads lol, why don u get a deskcharger? u can get one for 20 bucks off of newegg their very solid and come with 3.5mm line out in the back so u can hook up ur speakers to it... hope this helps buddy

and btw update your android thru kies to 2.2 asap if u do decide to go with the deskcharger
