newbie box help needed

hi all... i have an mx android tv box dual core running jellybean...i bought this unit 2nd hand so i've no instructions included with it..the box is rooted i know this as the sky go app wont run & tell me its as the device is rooted my questions are
1.has anybody a link to download a manual ive had a google and can't locate one

2..ive seen a few different mx boxes with links to firmware updates can i update my firmware with any ? or does it have to be specific ? (ideally i want to run xbmc as it is now just with a fresh install)

3.if i can use any firmware with xbmc included what do you guys recommend ?

Check out post 4. They do not seem to specify whether their firmware is only for one model. To me, it looks like the information is relevant to "DroidPlayer" as a whole.

The only thing that is specific that I can see is "dual core". The firmware linked does say droidplayer dual core firmware.
