What's up gang? Just a newbie saying hi. Picked up a Droid Bionic in late September and finally getting around to learning about the phone and taking advantage of the other 95% of it's capabilities that I'm not using yet! LOL

Isn't that the way of it? lol These forums have helped me get the most enjoyment from my Android devices as well. Welcome to Android Forums. I hope you enjoy your time here.

You do have quite a problem going on with multiple listings per contact. I'm sure someone clever will jump to your rescue but you may have to wait for this evening when more users are off work. You will likely have to do something along the lines of disrupting the google sync while you clean up one database or the other and then re sync. I'm only taking a wild guess. I do wish you luck. Whatever you do, don't lose your contacts.

Yeah, not in the biggest hurry, if I get a good answer tonight or tomorrow that's cool. I just assumed I was doing something wrong since I'm a newbie and the answer would be simple and I would be doing an impression of Homer Simpson "D'oh!" LOL I was thinking it could be as simple as doing another factory data reset now that gmail has the complete list, but I don't want to do anything yet until I feel safe that my gmail won't get wiped out too. What really bothered me was that Verizon's backup assistant never downloaded the existing list either, it only backed up new contacts I had added since I bought the Droid. For some reason, neither the sync with gmail or the backup assistant wanted to recognize the existing list from my BlackBerry.
