Just received my Triumph on Tuesday. This is my first smart phone, although I do have an Ipod Touch and a 1st gen Ipad. I've had a long time VM basic pay as you go voice plan which I've used only for emergencies and long distance, so I was able to pay for the Triumph from my existing balance
.
So far, my experience has been very positive. Mine doesn't have the blue screen, signal strength has varied from 1 to 3 bars, but I haven't had any call issues and both camera and camcorder work fine.
I was pleasantly surprised with the GPS - it acquired signal as fast as my Garmin Nuvi car unit and held the signal just fine. Apps open and operate with no problem, although in comparison to my Apple units, scrolling between screens isn't as smooth, which is a very minor problem. Battery useage has been about as reported by everyone else. Just installed Juice Defender, so we'll see if that helps.
My biggest surprise has been the voice capabilites - I hadn't seen them advertised and I loved being able to dictate my shopping list rather than type it in.
If my Triumph continues to perform as it has so far, I'll be a very happy customer.
