Newbie help please

Hello All,
Have just bought my first Android tablet. It is a Mid/Haipad M7S.

The details on the tablet are:
Model: MID_Serials
Android version: 3.0UI
Kernal:2.6.35.7 Mid Serials #259 Wed Nov 23 02:44:15 EST 2011
Build: Mid Serials 20111122.144539

Rooted.

I have put a 32gb Sandisk memory card in, video on the card shows up fine, I have also put on some work files and ebooks but they do not show in the office program or book reader. They will only show if I put them on the internal 4gb sd card.
Is there a way to get them to show in the required programs?

Is it possible to put programs that you downlod from Market etc onto the external sd card and run them from there?
It gives you the option to "Move to SD" but only to the internal SD card.

Which of the forums would cover my tablet?

Any help would be appreciated

If it works the same as my Transformer, I don't think so as it sees the Internal memory as an external SD Card (even though it calls the SD Card external, does that make sense?). There is an ADB command you can type, but I think that would just force stuff on to the internal SD.
