Newbie question about Galaxy S2

Hello all,

I'm currently up for a new upgrade from my Iphone 3gs on AT&T and I have been doing some mucho reading on the Samsung Galaxy S2. I have even almost ordered one from newegg.com but did not when I learned that my carrier MIGHT have one out with the name of the Attain sometime in August.

Problem is I don't know if I'm better off getting an unlocked version of this masterpiece of a phone or waiting for the AT&T version. What should I do? I'm so confused I'm beating my head against the wall on this one. Will an unlocked one be better? WIll AT&T get it before September? I'm so confused!!!

I am using an International unit on AT&T and it works perfectly. The only difference in the tqo units will be the Carrier unit willl have some of their software on it but other than that they will be the same.

If you really want the device get it now from places like Amazon. If money is an issue and you have an upgrade discount, you might want to wait another month or so to save money. I could not wait!

Note also that the currently available international versions don't have LTE. It's been rumored that the AT&T version will have LTE, so if that's important to you, you'll probably want to wait for the launch, which AFAIK has not been announced, but is widely expected to be within the next month or two.

I thought this phone did LTE? What are the advantages of getting it now? When is it coming out?
