Root Newbie...Rooted my EVO but cannot tether with iPad

I was able to root my EVO and have downloaded Android tether. The iPad is able to see and join the Android tether network however once in it, it will not connect to the Internet. The message I am getting isn"You are not connected to the Internet. I will appreciate any help and/or guidance to solve the issue.

Ok so I have followed the steps and the time the iPad is on the android network, I go to the Wireless Tether access control. I have pressed enable/disable and am not getting any prompt/notice that the iPad is trying to access the phone network. At the settings screen I have the following:
Enable Access-Control Unchecked
Change LAN-Network 192.168.....
Client Notification Mode. None
Change Channel. Channel 06
Enable WiFi Encription. Unchecked
Use Bluetooth. Unchecked

Not sure where to go at this time as every time I attempt to access the Internet I get the not connected to Internet message.

Odd.....I'm not too sure and don't want to give you any wrong information.....Have you tried asking this question in the thread I referred you to earlier?
 
Not yet but will do so ASAP. Thanks for the suggestion!!! This ahs proven more challenging than I anticipated. Thanks again!
 
Hello again, I have attempted to change all Wireless Frequency Channels from 1-14 and so far this has proven unsuccessful. Is there anything I am missing?

The only reason I want to use the iPad is to watch Netflix and paying $30 additional per month seems a little bit extreme.

Any guidance you can provide will really, really help and truly appreciated.
 
looks from your post in the other thread that you got this working. Is this correct? Please update you thread with how you got it working...it may provide useful for someone later down the line
