newbie with 1st smartphone(Fascinate)

Hi! Spending many waking hours with my new F. Many questions, Verizon community s---s!
1)Can I sync my Market apps onto my iMac? i find it difficult to get support for the apps on my handset.
2) anybody have problems with incoming calls going straight to voicemail, or is this a Verizon issue?
3) What is Froyo?
