Hello all. Newbie here.
Got an HTC Inspire last Wednesday. Got it all set up nice and perfect. Installed no apps.
Sunday morning I started it up (after overnight recharge), made a call or two, put it to sleep (press top button) and went out to do yard work.
About four hours later I picked it up to make a call. Pressed top button: nothing. Pressed again: nothing. Pressed and held, to turn off: nothing. Plugged in the battery charger: nothing. The phone was a brick.
A friend suggested trying removing the battery, and reinstalling it after 30 seconds or so. That did the trick. Phone came back to life, no data or settings lost. Worked fine the rest of the evening, still fine today.
I'm calling AT&T Tech Support tomorrow. As far as I'm concerned, a five-day old phone that self-bricks is defective.
In the meantime, any ideas as to what went wrong?
Thanks!
