just saying hi. finding this sight very helpfull! guess i made the mistake of upgrading my dx to gingerbread this morning. looking for a way to root it now.

You are certainly not the first to accidentally accept the GB OTA and regretted it before rooting.

Unfortunately, if you want get root in GB for the X, you'll have to learn and do a few new things (including SBF'ing back to Froyo and then re-rooting, etc.).
