I am new to this world of phone tech. I'm here to pick every one's brain, so i be able to enjoy this new tech world. So my apologies if i sound ******ed( i am) old (very) but honest. Feel free to correct me every time i ask ******ed, dumb, old questions. I thank ahead of time for those that have the patience to put up with this old man.

Thanks to everyone that answer. I'm about to purchase a new phone and have been looking at the I phone and the Samsung. Does any one have any recommendation between the two. I do not want to purchase something according to my knowledge (which may be limited), but i want something that will challenge me and push me to learn (even if it drive me crazy). Will like something that will be old one news month after i purchase it.

I don't know that there will be a lot of folks here that would recommend the iPhone over the Samsung Galaxy S2 seeing as this is an Android support forum. I will say that you probably wouldn't be disappointed with either, but if display size and performance were of paramount concern, the Samsung GS2 is the only way to go.

Welcome to the forums. I'm currently an iPhone user and waiting on the release of the Transformer Prime for my first Android device. To me the iOS strength is it's a straight forward easy to use OS with few options to tailor the look and feel to your needs. From what I've seen of the Android OS thus far you can alter the look and feel of the device to a great deal. To illistrate my point here's the thread where people show off what they've done with just the lock screens on their devices:

That's something that has my attention. I like the fact that I have options and choices of what my interface looks like. With the iPhone I can arrange icons, nest stuff in folders, and change the wall paper and that's about it. Outside of the OS choice your down to the hardware that's under the OS. If I could pick a brand new phone right without worrying about contracts price ETF fees etc. I'd take the Galaxy Nexus as soon as it's out in the states. I've had the iPhone 3G and I upgraded to the 4 last Dec. and I'm bored with it personally. Just my 2 cents, your mileage may vary.

Welcome again and happy Thanksgiving.
