If I were to start sort of a "Newbie's Guide to" Blah, basically, I find stuff that you can do to rooted or even unrooted Droids I think people may be interested and post very detailed step-by-step instructions that (I hope) a large percentage, if not everybody, could figure out, as I have done with the instructions to get the Milestone's multi-touch browser on the Droid (instructions are here: Want the full 2.1 look on 2.01 - you're in luck! - Page 2 - Android Forums) Would this be well received? Would y'all like that? Would that be something y'all are interested in? Bring in the responses.

I think this is a great idea, sort of already have it in this sticky http://androidforums.com/motorola-droid/18323-helpful-links-info-motorola-droid-users.html but I'll applaud you for taking time to do this cause it would be really beneficial.
