Root Newly S-OFF, should I keep 4ext?

Ok, the question is in the title really, but I just S-Off my evo and I have 4ext installed with smartflash still and I'm not sure if that is going to cause errors in the future. I have also done all of the steps in the "turn your phone into an evo 3d" thread and I have restored to JBear's Hboot 1.57. Currently running the newest Midnight Rom.

I guess my question is, now that I am S-Off should I use something other than 4ext recovery to flash ROMs? I want to try CM10 or other evo 3d ROMs and I cant seem to find any info on how to change which program I am using to flash ROM, or which one is best to use now that I am S-Off and I don't necessarily need 4ext. Thanks, this forum has really opened up my hone potential. lol

def keep 4ext... its an awesome touch interface... just turn off smartflash...
 
I can turn off Smartflash, but I have to do it every time I want to flash a ROM and I'm not going to lie I forget sometimes, It seems to still install ROMs ok even if I forget to turn it off...Know of a way to permanently turn it off?

Change it in the app not the recovery and it will update the config file so that setting sticks.

Settings/Recovery/S-ON: 4EXT SmartFlash (unchecked)

Edit: I still have a question regarding flashing Evo 3d Roms, can I still use 4ext for that?
