Help Next ICS update?

Hello, does anyone happen to know any news of when the next version of ICS is gonna be coming out to fix the bugs that ICS brought? I am unable to use my tethering and they tell me it's ICS that's caused it and that I have to wait for an update, only problem is it's my only form of internet so any news would be greatly appreciated

See my post here.

Some CSC codes are on their third ICS update!

The latest ICS version, released yesterday, is LPD and is a big improvement on the early ICS releases such as LPQ.

Before anyone asks... No, I don't know if Samsung or the carriers will release this latest update to everyone. That is up to them. Connect your phone to Kies, or check OTA, to see if an update has been released for you although, currently, only the CSC codes in the above link have it.

Honestly nobody knows except Samsung and the carriers. Its just going to have to be a case of be patient and play the waiting game.

It sucks that Android still only updates certain phones. I am not having many problems with ICS 4.0.3 but would be nice that we all got the update. I thought they were working hard to stop fragmentation threw these handsets. Man cant believe over all the negative feed back about updates that Google or even Samsung would still leave it up to the carriers to push these updates. Why is this ?

If you click on the link in post #2, above, you will notice that 3 out of the 4 CSC codes to receive the latest LPD update are carrier branded phones.

There will never be one firmware globally as different regions/countries/carriers all have a say in the firmware.

Yes I agree and can see other countries getting a slightly different firmware based on there country but it makes for lazy carriers that will never push important updates. Like Bell for example in Canada sucks for pushing out updates. even with all the phone calls they get still nothing. And it leaves customers having to deal with a glitch sometimes. Just hope they make changes to this in the future.
