Okay so Got that issue fixed.
Next question.

i purchased this phone because the coverage map on the Boost site (which I am starting to believe is BS..) shows good signal where I live (in a city).

When I get the phone I see that I get no signal (at most 2 bars) if not any at all? I contacted Boost customer support and they went through the usual ##72786# bs to "Reset"/"Reprogram" the phone. After a hour of doing that over and over again I got tired of listening to their non-sense and decided to hit the web for a bit of research.

While searching, I ran across a few post about users manually updating their PRL from boost to Sprint? Can anyone elaborate on this?

From what the post say, get CMDA Workshop and some have been able to use it to change the PRL and manage to get slightly better signal seeing as they are connecting to a closer tower. Is anyone familiar with this software or any other programs like it that can be used to update the PRL to a Sprint PRL? If so can anyone please help me? I will try anything at this point, I just want to use the phone :(
 
Are you getting the google talk authentication error? If so do a factory reset by turning off the phone. Hold calumet up and per button then use the volume button to select factory reset and the camera button to click it. That fixed it for me

I have a Prevail and I just got it today. I installed Shabbymod 0.9 without any problems except one..

I only use Yahoo mail, Phandroid, Robo Defence, Youtube, and Go Keyboard. But I am only allowed to install 2 of the 5 apps before I get the 'Download was unsucessful, please try again" message. I took the SD card out and formatted it, put it back in and tried again. Same problem. I partitioned the SD 512/32 and tried again? Same problem.

If I uninstall either of the 2 (random) that I install it will let me install another. I thought it was a internal memory problem but I still have 70mb internal memory left.

Any ideas?

have you tried sideloading them?

did you root your phone first and factory reset

So was I back a little before April, I am still a noob when it comes to Linux and all this Android stuff, but I am learning.

It is a good hobby to get into, and you will learn a lot
