Next Rom Upgrade

When I upgrade to next version of ROM for my hero, be it 2.0 or 2.1 wil I loose preintslled apps & games like Fascebook & tweeter or ar they hard programmed into Hero. I have backed up my apps using Astro. Not sure how much this back up. Could someone give me the definitive procedure for keeping as much data as possible on phone when the update is realease in March....?

Yes, if the 2.1 update is like the rest then the phone will be wiped completely. And Astro will back up all your apps, but I dont think it will get all your settings/saved games etc for those apps. My backup is one I've heard of that is also useful.

I use titanium backup myself as it's a more comprehensive backup, but it only works on rooted phones unfortunately.
