NextElect Obama Countdown

Gotta love right wingers, always changing their position just so they can bash Obama. Why are you suddenly against insurance companies when you weren't before? You should have talked about this ages ago. Left and right could have worked together to end the corruption. But of course, you couldn't care less about corruption. All you want to do is win political points.

Anyway, I can't find this app, anyone got a QR code?

we have nothing against insurance companies..

Our problem is the government forcing me to pay for the deadbeat's in this country's healthcare.

I work hard and pay my own health insurance, dont make your problem mine.

What's wrong with insurance companies? Many seem to hate them UNTIL THEY NEED THEM such as when some drunk smashes up their car. They sure call them pretty quick, huh?

Please define 'corruption'. I'm unsure of your definition because it sure looks like you think that insurance companies are there to serve YOU when, in fact, they are there to serve their SHAREHOLDERS. Until you understand this fact you'll never clearly understand this or any business. It's a free market economy and you have a choice: buy insurance or don't buy insurance. It's up to you because nobody is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to do business with such "corrupt" entities.

Personal responsibility doesn't mean "Please pay my way, Mama Government."

The maker of this app could rename it to "Next Chance to Boot Obama Out" and sell it to a totally different crowd and increase his profit.

lol.. whatever lets you sleep at night. There wont be a country in 2012 for 2 reasons. the world is ending in 2012 and obama is going to ruin this country financially just so you democrats can have total control of everything in our lives.

dont even go into that noble peace prize.. thats 500% bullshit and you know it.

thanks for the app!.. just sucks its not free.

I do not think the world will end in 2012 to me that is a big lie and that is 1232% big bullshit.

His problem is YOUR problem you just don't know it yet: You must be fairly healthy, or you have your health insurance through a large business plan.

If healthy, just wait until you or your kid gets seriously ill. Then watch your insurance deny, deny and then deny coverage again. And if they don't drop you, well you better stay with them forever because no other company will cover you.

If you get it through work, be thankful you're not a small business owner OR worker. If that is you the above paragraph applies. Otherwise you ARE paying for your health insurance. Usually above $1200 for a family per month. You might only see a few hundred deducted per month. Your job pays the other $1000. Again then, if you are a small business or individual, how many of you would be willing to pay over $1000/month premium for those often excellent policies. Even then, all of you against regulation are among those that scream regarding your insurance company when your co-pay is exorbitant.

Government intervention is never ideal. I am in favor of the current plan because the issues of pre-existing conditions/cancellation are what RUIN families if they ever really get sick. Oh, wait, eventually that's all of us........I may be for or against other provision. But nothing, nothing is more important an issue than this one.

It was worth all 99 cents. My own little chance to "spread the wealth", so to speak. I'll check it every day and enjoy watching the numbers going down. :D

His problem is YOUR problem
I would find this definition next to the world "socialism" in a dictionary.

I, nor any family member, has ever had an insurance claim denied. However, most denials occur when people don't bother to read their policy and do things like see an out of network provider instead of their PCM as they're supposed to or ignore the fact that they need authorization for a procedure. I laugh when I see people complain of denials because the majority of the time it's situations just like these.

There is no mention of tort reform, the REAL driver of healthcare costs, or the availability of insurance plans across state lines. Without these things, there is NO reform.

While we're at it, ask yourself why providers are dropping current government health plans like Medicare and TRICARE left and right. I'll give you a hint: It's not because they're MAKING money on them...

That's funny because I ring my doctor in the morning and I get in the same afternoon. Where do you get your information from ? Also the Dentist is free and they txt message you when your appointment is due..Obesity Is also 99 percent higher in the US...

By "your" problem" I meant it will at some point come home to YOUR roost, not that you have to fix it FOR HIM. You may be right about reading your policy, but it is in those policies you will find what is NOT covered. Those claims are, again, the ones that will murder you're budget. Do you know an outpatient Knee 'scope costs above $6000? That may be routinely covered, but what about the real stuff, an open heart operation at $40,000 or more, a stroke with rehab at double that.
Tort reform is important, and I wish there was much in the plan about that. But coverage is MORE important so I have set my priorities accordingly.
2 questions: How old are you/your family, and what claims are we referring to in your case? My bike wreck resulted in a $160,000 bill for a week's stay WITHOUT having any surgery. I was "young" and healthy at the time (2002). I trust, and hope, your kids claims were for a broken wrist at worst and not leukemia, where you might exceed your limit BEFORE the marrow transplant.......

Sorry, guys, but you got me started. When an uninsured arrives in an ER, they are mandated to care for him. That costs the hospital money. They aren't going to do real charity work so the prices for their services go up, the insurance companies raise your premiums so you ALREADY pay for it.

Or, to state it again: my problem IS your problem. Less inflammatory and more accurate, my problem is also impacting on you to the same degree even if you don't see it. That makes it, as it should be, OUR problem.......

I live in England. Just out of interest how much does it cost to cover a family of 4 for all eventualuties per month ?
For the premium type of corporate health care plan, we used to PAY around $300/month, and the employer ADDED nearly $1100 for around $1400/month total. It was great coverage. That bike wreck ended up costing me around $2000 out of pocket (remember, it was $160,000 total)

I don't understand that you pay a premium and you still have to fork out $2000.

I watched that Sicko with Michael Moore that came across to me that the U.S system is all wrong. Has Canada got it right with free Healthcare ? Or is that Michael Moore having a pop at the U.S as usual ?

Yes you still have to pay a Co-Pay.

You will get different opinions on the Michael Moore movie being correct or incorrect, and I would rather not get into a political debate.

My question for you so you can educate some of us here is, was the England system accurately portrayed in the movie?

I have a buddy from Canada and he had nothing bad to say about the health care there and he is an CRNFA and has worked and been a patient in both countries.

A liberal is a conservative that never grew up.

Thinking that utopia is possible is something that 2nd year undergrad students think is possiple. Once they get into the real world they "usually" grow up.

People that think universal healthcare is a good system or free are the same people that think they can reason with terrorists.
