Nexus 4 charging orb is LIVE on Google play

My Nexus orb arrived today and is truly a neat device. Charges pretty fast though so far I've noticed it doesn't charge to 100%. Anyone else notice that is the case?
 
When I "just" I mean about a month or so ago. This isn't available in the UK yet so I might as well just stick with my pad.

Quick question...when you put the phone on the orb does the screen come on to show its charging? One of the things I hate about my pad that it makes my phone do that.

Yeah, the screen turns on.
 
I missed the delivery yesterday for mine, very lame. I'm assuming you can turn the screen off after you put it on there?
 
Yeah, I have CyanogenMod running, so my LED lights up when I am charging. I am going to see if I can disable the screen truning on while charging. Also, I'll look in developer options to see if you can disable it.

Edit: I don't see any such setting.

I'm not talking "power", I'm talking "current", an actual quantity of electrons 0.8 * (6.241
 
One thing I noticed about this Orb, well maybe its a 4.2.2 issue, is that the phone doesn't always make a sound when its placed on the Orb. Its very inconsistent and because of that, I'm not always sure I have my phone on the thing right unless I turn the screen on.

Anyone else getting inconsistent tones when placing your phone on the Orb?
 
I cant see paying for this at this price unless this will work with every successive phone I purchase. If it only works with this phone then it wont make sense considering how long I keep a phone. I do think its pretty awesome though.

I think Wireless charging will become more and more standard on phones to come. However, it depends if Qi becomes THE standard...
