Help nexus 4 make messaging text clearer or bigger?

Is it possible to change the size of the text you type when sending a message on my android nexus 4?
Don't want to enlarge it for anything else though.

I'm running a custom ROM based on stock and on my messaging app, if I hit the 3 dot menu button, select settings, scroll right down to the bottom, there's a setting called Message Font Size. Do you see that?

If not, I'm not sure you could change it with the stock app, you might need a 3rd Party app for that.

Thanks but nothing in my settings menu about message font size
Only delete old messages delivery reports etc.

You probably can't do it on the stock SMS app then, you'd need a replacement like Pansi, handcent or Sliding Messaging etc.
