I have a new Nexus 4, been having great fun for about a month or so, and have an annoying, intermittent problem.
At home, I have the wifi turned on, and usually leave it on all the time. I keep the phone in the same location, and the wifi works great.
I have noticed that occasionally when wifi is on, I can go from a full (call signal) signal of 4 bars to ZERO signal. Sometimes the phone will show no bars and yet I can send & receive calls.
I have missed a handful of calls that go straight to voicemail. Every time this has happened I have been at home, the phone is on, the wifi is on, and I get no bars of service. If I toggle the wifi off, then I get a voicemail notification or it switched to full bars of service. (I know to check the phone from receiving emails or calls on the landline.)
Is this some sort of Nexus 4 quirk, or is there a setting I am missing?
My last phone was a Motorola Droid 3; wifi on/off and calls was never an issue.
I have switched carriers from verizon (droid) to t-mobile (nexus 4). I called tech support, they checked towers in the area and no problems have been reported.
Thoughts?? Thanks
