That could be. Since the stock was so low during the first couple months that this phone was constantly listed as sold out they might have then ramped up production and overestimated the demand.
Good news is I got lucky and just sold my N4 that I ordered on day 1 for $200.

I think that's more likely. I guess we'll have to look for phones coming through the fcc sorry for specs that aren't suppose to be flagship devices.

I wonder how long this current price will last? I wonder if I can talk the wife into letting me get one and use it with wifi only, until the current contract is up in December! This is such a nice price!
it should last forever, right? well, supposing the reason behind the drop is to make way for the upcoming Nexus5.
... if it doesn't clear out as they expect it, they may even drop further in price, disappointing those who buy today

Getting rid of current inventory may be the reason for the price drop, to make room for N5. My current contract is up with Vzw in Dec. so I will probably be getting something by then, unless I can come up with some extra money to get this one!

I've actually realised that I won't be able to get that much from selling my phones (Desire HD and a Sensation), and although I know it'll be worth it, I'm not sure if I'm allowed/it's a good idea to buy it (someone went a bit crazy and bought lots of games and computer parts this year )

One thing it will do is bring down the price on used versions as well by the same amount. Any phone is essentially obsolete within a few months of release.
I was thinking to get Nexus 4 some time back and today I heard the news of price drop.
Don't exactly understand the reason, as I know they are yet not ready to release the successor.
What most probably would be the reason for this price drop.
I know it an awesome smartphone but should I buy Nexus 4 now
