You may not have the right drivers installed then, go through the driver installation at the top of the toolkit.

Driver installation requires USB Debugging to be enabled

You don't need usb debugging on in order to install the fastboot drivers. You only need to be in fastboot mode and connected to the computer for the ability to install those.

This^ you only need the fastboot drivers to do all the commands you need.

Okay, I got the fastboot drivers installed. If I go to Advanced > List devices my device shows up. I'm set, right? Nope. When I try to do a backup of the SD it says I need USB Debugging enabled.

No big deal, i'll just do a pull. Command prompt still won't work with adb commands. Okay. I'll do a pull from the toolkit. Pull only works on a stock Android build.

Now what?

I know I can revert to stock now, but just to clarify there's no way to recover my SD card?

Only if adb gets configured correctly. Fastboot generally only gives the ability to change the partitions, lock / unlock, and direct boot from ram.

Unfortunately not, but I do have a working phone now.

I still haven't figured out what caused my ROM to become corrupt in the first place. As I said in my first post I was just sending a text when it crashed on me. Weird..

Indeed. Glad you're up and running. Got all drivers and adb and fastboot working?

Glad you got the device working. Sometimes you just have to cut your losses and bite the bullet to return to stock. Lord knows how many times I had to do it on my Gnex when the first batch of 4.1.1 roms came out.
