Nexus 5 rebooting

Hi!
I got my Nexus 5 a few months ago and suddenly, out of the blue it turns off and then keeps rebooting constantly. The first time it was strange and i turned it off and on again and it stopped, today it was also out of the blue but kept turning off and rebooting constantly for about a minute. Does anyone have this problem? My phone is carrier unlocked, I got it straight from Google.

It could be an app or sw. You will need to factory reset it and if that doesn't fix it I would contact Google or even your carrier! I have not have this issue.

Sound like a software problem at first glance like amarie82 said try a factory reset and if that doesn't help you could try rooting or contacting Google for a replacement

Hey!

Thanks! I finally got to do a restore, right now its updating all the factory apps. Lets see how it goes. In case this doesn't work, how can I contact google? Apparently there's a chat option on the support site but it only addresses Google Play app issues :/

Call the customer support number. 855-836-3987

And yes, it is hard to find on the web site. It may be on your invoice. I have always used it. If you get someone who is clueless, thank them politely and call back. Most of their folks are good, but sometimes... ;)

Before resorting to a factory reset, you should consider what apps you may have installed just prior to the problem. If you can identify that, it is easier to test the phone by uninstalling the app or disabling it.

If you have carried out a factory reset, and then simply install all the apps again the problems may persist - since the problem app is re-installed.

No need to factory reset! I had this same issue with my Nexus 5 but it went away after about 15 hours. Just wait it out, and keep trying to turn it on. My phone did this a few days ago and now its working fine. Don't reset it and possibly loose contacts/photos/music/etc.
