Frankly I think you're going to be so impressed and happy with your new Nexus you'll find it very enjoyable to learn even more about Android than you may know now.
If you're new to Android you'll find it easier than you may have anticipated. This latest model is so well equipped with powerful components it'll easily handle future versions of the Android OS.
I'm a multi-platform technologist, as much as I enjoy the variety, my new Nexus 5 puts my iPhone 5S to shame.
I had an iPhone 4 and I hated it. I've used androids for about 3 years now. My very first one was an LG Optimus or something that I found on the side if the road with the battery and backing scattered. It was cool but I could only hold two apps and it was slow and ugly. Then I had another cheapo boost android before I got my skyrocket which I rooted and flashed PA to which I then sold and bought the HTC One X which I got now and am so over it. Never got around to rooting it and I'm pissed the ATT version is the only one still stuck on 4.1. I'm ready for the Nexus experience instead of experiencing these newer OSs years later.
